A Last Night’s Wish

There was a flicker in the flames
a little blast of silence took on its orange dress
as the sound of the cracking branches roared
speaking their night tales

And in the trembling dance, the shadows grew bigger and smaller
among the sand mountains,
Your skin was glowing like the reflection of a polyedric diamond
and the night was nurturing its lullaby songs

All summoned on this last night’s dart,
to contribute their fleeting sense
in a temporary heaven – the blink of an eye,
a sudden jolt and it’s all gone-

And the case is closed. I blessed your journey
with a thousand swords. And by the dawn,
the fire will settle as the boat sets its sail,
but till then we can pretend, it will live on.
